Even if you don’t immediately know the name “Burt Bacharach,” you definitely know his music. The multiple Grammy and Oscar-winning composer had many Top 40 hits throughout his extensive career. The world said goodbye to this legend when he passed away earlier this year at 94. As May 12th would have been his 95th birthday, this month, the Lakeside Pride Wilde Cabaret presents a tribute to the amazingly talented Burt Bacharach.
Pops Ensemble: “Still I Rise”
The Lakeside Pride Pops Ensemble’s final concert of the season draws inspiration from one of Maya Angelou’s most famous poems and the perseverance it expresses. Join us on June 3rd at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School to see who else reminds us why we still rise.
