About The Ensemble
Lakeside Pride Latin Band (LPLB) offers engaging performances with a selection of music that is recognizable, danceable, and full of energy. Our charismatic musicians love engaging with audiences by teaching dance moves, encouraging sing-a-longs, and starting conga lines! We have a diverse ensemble of half of our musicians representing the Black, Latinx, and Filipino communities. Our mission is to weave the beautiful tapestry of Latin music into the hearts of predominantly Latinx communities in and around Chicago, rejoicing in their vibrant cultures and music.
Music Style
We perform a wide variety of Latinx music, featuring artists that range from Selena and Marc Antony to Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz, and various styles including salsa, Cumbia, merengue, Latin pop, mambo, boogaloo, and bomba

Where To Find Us
LPLB performs in a wide variety of settings such as public events (neighborhood block parties & street festivals), private events (gala events, anniversary/wedding/graduation Parties), as well as at local businesses and restaurants

Booking Requirements
When booking LPLB the following must be provided by the booking group:
- Adequate physical space. Our group has performed in a variety of spaces and can be flexible with setup. Please reach out to the group to discuss space requirements
LPLB will provide the following:

How To Join
There are no specific requirements for joining the group, however; there is cap on the size of our band/individual sections. Contact us and let us know who you are & what you're interested in playing with us and we'll get back to you!
