Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band: “Toward a New Life”

Jordan FranciscoSymphonic Band

Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band presents "Toward a New Life," a green meadow blanketed with spring flowers with a closet door opening and a rainbow spilling out of the closet.

After traveling through the pits of hell and sparking revolutionary change for justice, Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band ascends on to a new chapter. Just As Spring Arrives, you might see some Rainbow in the Clouds after an April shower. And with the spring showers comes new life as nature’s greenery and colors emerge from the ground. And speaking of colors, at Lakeside Pride, we encourage everyone to live their most authentic self. You can expect a jamboree at our concert in the advent of hope Toward a New Life and the Celebration of a brighter future.

About this Season

This year’s season is entitled Rise, which encapsulates the LGBTQ community’s ongoing struggles and its persistence to resolve them, whether to survive, thrive, or live in harmony with each other. Lakeside Pride is no different, and as we’ve adapted to the pandemic, we find ourselves stronger and more resilient than ever. We continue to be a welcoming family for our members and friends across the Chicagoland area.

We’ve risen to the challenge of keeping our community safe, healthy, strong, and exuberant. We’ve overcome adversity from the pandemic and societal unrest and continue to use our platform to inspire our members and audiences to join us in our revitalization. We still have lots to do and many barriers to overcome. But by banding together, we can continue to change hearts and minds, grow as a community, and heroically rise to any occasion.
