Lakeside Pride Pops Ensemble “That’s So Gay”
The Lakeside Pride Pops Ensemble closes its season with a Pride Month kickoff! Keeping with the season theme, “It’s Our Nature,” we explore the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community. We’re reclaiming the phrase “That’s So Gay.”
Wilde Cabaret: “Living the High Life”
Since our show date actually falls on 4/20, we felt it was a sign. There are a surprising number of songs dedicated to the pursuit of getting, being, or staying high. Whether you’re high on life or something else, come on out on 4/20 and share it with us!
Symphonic Band: “Humanitas: Into the Depths”
Join us on a voyage into the inner mind with the Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band’s Spring 2024 concert. On this musical adventure, we will contemplate humanity’s morality, shortcomings, and the impulse to connect. Our concert’s pieces will bring out the sounds that invoke the highs and lows of what it means to be human.
Wilde Cabaret: “Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves”
Start your Saturday evening with a twilight concert of engaging chamber music for winds and brass from the Baroque era to today. Join the Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles’ Brass Buttons and Woodwind Quintet+ at the charming and historic Lake View Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Addison & Broadway, for a varied program performed by LGBTQ+ instrumentalists.
Wilde Cabaret: “Winter Wonderland”
The Lakeside Pride Wilde Cabaret kicks off our 2024 monthly series at Sidetrack with a show celebrating one of the two seasons in Chicago – construction! Just kidding. It‘s WINTER! Whether it‘s “Let it Snow”, or “White Winter Hymnal”, there are so many songs celebrating this season and, let‘s be honest, trying to comfort ourselves that it won‘t last forever!
