Resonate--Chicago’s premier vocal group for trans, nonbinary and gender-expansive singers--is dedicated to artistic excellence, authentic storytelling, and uplifting LGBTQ+ voices through powerful choral performance. We bring together skilled singers from across Chicagoland to explore a wide range of repertoire—from early music and classical works to contemporary choral pieces, global music and music by queer composers.

As an trans-focused ensemble, we focus on musical nuance, ensemble precision, and intentional text expression, creating performances that are intimate, resonant, and emotionally impactful. Our singers rehearse with a commitment to musical growth, community care, and collaborative artistry.  Singers are supported to love and strengthen their voices and each other.

Resonate aims to offer a space where queer and ally musicians can thrive artistically, connect meaningfully with one another, and share transformative musical experiences with our audiences. Through our performances, we strive to elevate underrepresented voices and celebrate the diverse identities that make Lakeside Pride so vibrant.
