‘Ukulele Ensemble Rehearsal
The Tiny Bubbles ‘Ukulele ensemble will be having its second rehearsal in John Baron Hall on the second floor of the Center on Halsted. Don’t worry if you missed the first rehearsal – feel free to join in on the fun! Contact the event organizer if you have any questions.
Experience is not required. Anyone can learn a few basic chords and be strumming along in no time. We will learn a few songs and talk about ideas I have for the group and ultimately what people want out of it. The songs we play will be just like the uke: quirky, sweet, whimsical, fun, and a little heartfelt, just like the conductor. Speaking of which…
Steven Kellert has been a musician his whole life, starting off with piano, flute, piccolo, and alto sax. He studied modern dance in college and wound up competing in ballroom with his sister, which introduced him to a love of partner dance and a whole new world of music. Never giving up music for good, he used to sing with his sisters as the Clams of Wisdom in Washington, DC and eventually started playing ‘ukulele in Chicago in 2014.
