We’ll perform protest songs by Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Edwin Starr, Bob Dylan, Charles Mingus and others to highlight the ways music is used express injustice, combat racism, encourage solidarity and bring about change.
Before and during the show, we invite you to take in the the artwork, photos and installations on display at Alphawood Gallery. The exhibit highlights the moral and ethical questions surrounding Japanese Internment Camps in America after the Pearl Harbor bombing and gives context to our message.
